We are a close-knit bunch, and you will often find us together with the four-legged team mates, making sure every guest feels welcome, safe and part of the pack.
From preparing the dogs to sharing stories around the fire, we are passionate about giving you an authentic taste of life with furry and happy sled dogs.
We may be a small team, but with a whole lot of enthusiasm, muddy paws and wagging tails, we are ready to make your Arctic adventure one to remember.
Tommy
OWNER & DAILY LEADER
More than 25 years ago Tommy followed his dream of having his own team of sled dogs. Just for pleasure and racing. With his passion and local knowledge it naturally happened that the team grew into a kennel of around 50 furry friends.
That was the beginning of an exciting chapter. First as the founder of Kvaløya Husky. And now as the founder of Kvaløya Adventure.
He likes it small. Personal. And local.
The kennel and farm is his home and is right next to where he was raised. With a deep respect of the local nature, passion for sled dogs and a wish to show guests from around the world how we live up here, he is happy to welcome you to his kennel.

Guide & Office Assistent
Cap discovered dog sledding as a guest when she chose Tommy's kennel for her holidays' magical experience.
She immediately fell in love with the dogs and landscapes (but mostly with the dogs) and dropped her lawyer life to become a musher.
She is now starting her second season with us, and will have many to come!
If she's not with the dogs, you will find her going around with a tool or machine in hand having fun fixing stuffs.
Byron
Guide & Driver
Byron is about to celebrate his 10th anniversary as a dog sledding guide. He found Kvaløya Adventure as a nest that he "calls home" and will complete his third season in a row with us.
Unconditional passionate of the Scandinavian outdoors, you might find him exploring the surroundings on skis, snowshoes, in a kayak, on the sled, hiking or simply camping somewhere around our majestic island!

Office
Mia is the one you meet when contacting us.
With 3 winters of experience with dog sledding she is happy to help you book your upcoming sledding adventure and answer any kind of question you may have.
She truly loves dogs and is besides working in office also a swim trainer for dogs!
